Carrabelle Tarpon Fishing

Carrabelle is a small town located in the Florida Panhandle just a short drive southwest of Tallahassee. Like many of the other locations Capt. Al Keller fishes, Carrabelle is off the beaten path. It isn’t an location that offers ritzy lodging or expensive meals. Carrabelle tarpon fishing is a truly unique adventure in the heart of the Florida Panhandle. Perhaps that is why it remains a destination that is favored by local tarpon fanatics, yet remains off the radar of anglers outside the region.

Why Carrabelle? As tarpon migrate along the Gulf Coast, there are only a select few places that provide the combination of shallow water and a white, sandy bottom against which you can clearly spot fish. Big, big fish. Carrabelle is one such place.

“It’s a great place to learn how to saltwater fly fish. If you’ve never fly fished the salt before, this is THE place to come, and Capt. Al is the guy to go with.”
